英语中的被动语态和虚拟语态也是理解中的一个难点问题。
比如：
I didn't know why you were misunderstood.就是一个被动语态，可以翻译为：我不知道为何，为何我要误解你。
Catching me in places that I knew I shouldn’t be.就是一个典型的虚拟语气，意思是“在我知道我本不应该去的地方把我逮住”。
总的来说，语法结构就象一条藤，把英语的词语象葡萄一样串联起来。
所以，要仔细的`理解英语，就必须要找出葡萄藤的主干(英语的主干或主句)和枝叶(英语的修饰或从句)。

几个疑问：
① Everyone has their own desire leading to the ultimate
ultimate理解为“结束”，还是理解为“终极原则”，还是“极端”，还是其他？这个lead to是不是又该译成“导致、招致”
② Life is too long to end at a grave
我的理解是，一般生命的终结就是坟墓了，而他不是，所以下葬对他不适用，换句话说，就是“安葬过敏”，虽然官方中译带有“墓志铭”，但应该跟那个没关吧
③ Just a drop of water suffices……
这里谈水是说一花一世界那个意思吗，如果是的话，原来的中译就更不到位了吧……
④ Still I wish to embrace the world with my thoughts
embrace有欣然接受的意思，如果把后面的eulogy单独成句（我现在的翻译是连起来的），这里是不是就是说，奥托还是想以自己的思维来接纳这个世界
⑤ Ends, then begins.
我一度在想，借用“否极泰来”会不会更好，“终极始来”，可是“终极”看上去是个词，就不是很合适……
其实前面也有类似的，还一度想用互文的手法，「The ebb and flow of the crowd floods the world and paradise」，这句我想配合“人来人往”翻成“人来于人间，人往于天堂”，可是听着好怪啊，听着像是“从人间来往天堂去”似的，明明只是把“人来人往”分开罢了
⑥ Here it comes the moment of the scene of lost and found
lost and found翻译成“失而复得”不是特别好，因为本义是一个人丢了东西被另一个人找到了，直接这么翻像是奥托自己找到了自己丢的东西似的（虽然好像也没错？），不过我更倾向于是奥托找到了卡莲缺失的那一部分，但又找不到比“失而复得”更合适的词……物归原主？完璧归赵？成人之美？失物归还？襄助？
不过话说回来，这歌不会是先写的中文再写的英文吧……虽然看着不像，但如果是的话，那就尴尬了_(:з」∠)_
